Mass as a Sacrifice

It behooves us all to think on all the things that happen at EVERY mass that we cannot see. Picture the sacrifice that our Lord makes for you. Picture the angels who gaze with amazement at every consecration. Think of the poor souls who cry out with joy as the drops of Christ's blood fall upon them from the altar of your church.

I really love that picture. It reminds me of something I read awhile ago that a friend gave me, it was a whole packet that went into extreme detail about what goes on at every part of the Mass, and it talked about how the water from the side of Christ relieves the suffering of the souls in Purgatory, and how everybody's guardian angel is present, and things like that. Of course I'm not doing it justice, but I promise it was really beautiful. :)
