Picked this up from Orthometer and couldn't resist:
Grab the book that is closest to you.
Open it to page 161.
Find the fifth full sentence.
Post the text of the sentence.
Don't search around for the coolest or most impressive book you have use the one that really is closest to you.
My result..."Have you sworn falsely, rashly, or in slight and trivial matters?"
The book is called Manna of the Soul, vest pocket edition Copyright, 1917 The Benzinger Brothers. Quote is from the section called "Examination of the Ten Commandments of God" Commandment two.

(sheesh, when I did it on Father's blog, the closest book was one by our Pope.)
In that unlikely event, she will dig inside the small leather satchel looped over her shoulder, pretending to look for her room key.
Blow Fly by Patricia Cornwell
This is the FIFTH book I had to pick up. The first, which was actually a good book (Story of a Soul), didn't have more than one sentence on page 161. The other books weren't long enough to have 161 pages. So, I had to settle for a mystery story.
From LizzieD
"There are not many churches; there is one." I have to add the next sentence too - "It is the Catholic Church on the one side and its mortal enemy on the other"
I just picked up Hillaire Belloc's The Great Heresies, and was afraid there wouldn't be 161 pages, but the last page is no 161!!! Most intriguing, and apt, since it is the Feast of SS Peter and Paul!
"With Allied landings in North Africathe grim shadow of eventual invasion fell heavily upon the people of Italy, the vast majority of whom had from the beginning displayed little enthusiasm for Il Duce's role in Hitler's war."
From "Eugenio Pacelli: Pope of Peace" - 1954 edition paperback. It's sitting here in my office because I used one of Pius XII's quotes for one of my t-shirts.
