I hope this is true...

While my home is not a wasteland, I cannot keep up. I am frustrated that I cannot live up to any kind of ideal in homemaking, working, wiving, mothering.... I fall short in everything. There is truly a limit to what one person can do. I am clearly overwhelmed. I pray for the strength to bear this as I am finding life burdensome at present. Lord I lay myself down at Your feet, I can do no more than that. Amen+

  2. It's been SO hot here(110 degrees today alone and set to stay) that I will clean the house properly when the temps go down.

One can only do what one can do :).

    Peace to you:)

  3. I have been struggling with the same thing this Lent. One of my offerings was to approach my vocation (motherhood/being a wife) with renewed vigor and dedication. It has made me really focus on this. I love this prayer from Blessed Mother Theresa. She is referring to her vocation, but I think it refers well to being a wife and mother:

"Sweetest Lord, make me appreciative of the dignity of my high vocation and it's many responsibilities. Never permit me to disgrace it by giving way to coldness, unkindness or impatience."
